I’m a trained Spiritual Director and meeting with directees is a great joy for me. I also love leading retreats that incorporate creativity, laughter, soul care, and self-awareness. I have 18 years of experience in radio broadcasting, most recently with the national radio program, Midday Connection. I currently work at InterVarsity Press as a Marketing Manager.
I grew up in a small town in Ohio, spending more time outside in nature than inside. I’m a graduate of Moody Bible Institute (BA in Communications) and have earned a Diploma in Biblical Counseling (Light University), a Certificate in Spiritual Direction (Christos Center for Spiritual Formation), and a Certificate in Enneagram (Jerry Wagner, Enneagram Spectrum) training. I’m a member of the Evangelical Spiritual Directors Association and Spiritual Directors International. My interests include art (looking at it and creating it), literature, humanitarian aid efforts, gardening, performing Improv, coffee, thinking, learning, laughing with my guy and hanging out with our four feisty cats.
My core value statements are:
Student: I want to maintain an open, learning mind and heart.
Voice: I want to speak truth, compassion, encouragement, and hope.
Contemplative: I want to be aware of God’s activity in and around me.
Friend: I want to be a safe person for others to be around – openly and honestly.
Kind: I want to provide help to people, the environment, and animals that are vulnerable.
Joyful: I want to live in freedom, creativity, and laughter.
